A middle-aged American writer Michael experiences a creative crisis and is on the verge of suicide. He throws his home in new York and arrives in Paris, hoping to find the motivation to return to creative life. Shortly after his arrival he meets Sophie, a sexy, smart and sincere nurse who cares for dying patients. Michael and Sophie immediately begin to experience strong sexual attraction to each other, but Sophie has a secret — she moonlights as a Dominatrix, serving flagellant.
